13TH ANNUAL EGYPT PASTORS CONFERENCE ON EPHESIANS BRINGS REST AND REFRESHMENT

John Cook, Pastor Magdi and Craig Miller at last year’s ME Pastors & Church Leaders Conference

IM’s 13th annual Egypt Pastors’ Conference brought rest and refreshment to 70 pastors and church leaders this month. As our first conference since IMI’s CEO and founder, John Cook’s home going on March 30, this week was a uniquely memorable time. Monday night was a special time to remember John’s life and the impact he had on many of these pastors and churches. IM is intent on continuing our mission to glorify God and to equip these front-line national pastors. This week was a key part of our strategy to invest into national pastors and churches in the Middle East.

With a focus on the book of Ephesians, our theme was, “Our New Life in Christ.” Pastors left with extensive notes and an Arabic commentary on Ephesians to aid them in their ministry. These pastors are from small churches and church plants, with many of them from the poorer region of upper Egypt. Each year they are given scholarships to attend, giving them a genuinely restful setting from their labors—most of these men are preaching in their churches and church plants 4-5 times a week in addition to other duties.

God met with us in a special way bringing much-needed encouragement, refreshment and fellowship to these pastors. The teaching of the deep truths of Ephesians by Pastors Craig Miller, Ken Ford, Reda Khalil and Magdi Salieb was received gratefully by the pastors.

Thank you to our generous prayer and financial partners who helped make this all possible. Your partnership makes a wonderful, significant “direct impact” into these pastors’ lives.
