A WORD FROM THE CEO

I was reminded this last trip to India of how significant Grace Bible College’s role is and how God continues to use GBC. With his permission, I’d like to share Justin Hogan’s (our finance manager who took his first trip to India last month) own personal reflections:

Our (GBC) principal grew up in a Christian orphanage, and today he leads a college that continues to walk alongside students from a wide range of backgrounds. Some of our current students have come from orphanages, including the same one where he was raised. Others come from small villages and local communities. Together, they reflect a long-term investment in lives that might otherwise have limited access to training and formation.

While we may not have a formal child sponsorship program in India like we do in Iraq or Egypt, the college plays a critical role at a different stage of life. It equips students to serve in churches and communities where following Christ carries real cost. The impact reaches far beyond the classroom, strengthening believers who are learning to lead faithfully in difficult environments.

The staff here are incredible. They are steady, patient, and deeply committed to the students they serve, and most importantly, to God. Their care is consistent and relational, shaped by a steady faithfulness that guides how they lead and teach.

The students themselves have been just as impactful. Some are shy and reserved. Others are more confident. All are welcoming. Their warmth and hospitality speak volumes about the environment they are being shaped in.

Much of what I have heard during this visit comes through trusted ministry leaders who have spent years walking alongside churches and communities in this region. In parts of India, pastors describe being beaten and arrested, church disruptions, and growing hostility.

Faith here isn’t just an idea or belief people talk about. It’s something people live with every day, knowing it may cost them something. They are aware of the risks, and they choose to remain faithful anyway.

One of our graduating MDiv students has chosen to go to a village where there is no known Christian presence to spread the Gospel, even as tensions continue to rise. He is not unaware of the risks. He simply believes Christ is worth it. That kind of quiet commitment stays with you.
