A WORD FROM THE CEO

Shifts in the Harvest – This month we’ve experienced shifts in our overseas fields. some great answers to prayer, new students eager to learn on Grace Bible College’s campus, and also some hard news — illnesses and unexpected losses. Yet all by the permission of our Father, and with these shifts, the work continues with sharing the gospel, training and discipleship. As we held the first Rope Holders’ Summit for Global Missions here in Colorado Springs, I was thrilled, as I sense a great need of the hour to encourage our U.S. churches, missions teams and partners to be faithful in the mission fields. Shifts or no shifts.

In his article this issue, “How is the Mission Doing?” Craig gives us an update on how the Church is doing sharing the gospel in the Harvest. What an encouragement to see that God’s Word has not returned void as many thousands of missionaries and workers have labored over the past two thousand years! Yet we see clearly that the fields are white to harvest and the need, especially in the 10/40 Window is significant. Whether you are part of the Harvest in your Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria or the ends of the earth, your part is incredibly important as you pray, give and go. Keep on serving Christ! Pray with us for more laborers for the Harvest.

Let us be as true today in heeding the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to get the gospel out to all the world in the shortest possible time! Do not let us put it off. Do not say, “Oh well, some other day will do…”

Say not that, but lift up your eyes and look. The fields are white already to harvest, and it is your responsibility to do what you can to give them the truth. And be assured of this: If you and I do faithfully what we can whether by going ourselves or by upholding in prayer and by our gifts those who do go, He will see that we are rewarded accordingly…Herein is that saying true, “One soweth and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labor: other men labored and ye are entered into their labors.”
