Backpacks and Notebooks

Our annual Backpack and School Supplies Fundraiser is a very special and important outreach impacting the lives of thousands of children in the Middle East!

Last year because of your generous donations, we were able to give ALL of the children in our Child Sponsorship Program a backpack filled with much-needed school supplies. Thank you!

Once again we’re asking you to get your checkbooks or credit cards out and be extra generous this year. Because we have a special opportunity! Read on…

The Lord has opened up two new villages in Iraq and we are going to begin our outreach to these new children with backpacks and school supplies. I just returned from Iraq where I was in meetings with our teams, pastors and government officials. Since IM has been ministering in Iraq since 2003, and John’s activities were well known, we as a ministry have been closely watched, as are all NGOs. I was personally thanked for the work we’ve done with the refugee children and their families and I was asked to expand our work in several areas. It was both humbling and challenging to me personally, and I am so grateful to the Lord and to you for what He has allowed. And as doors open, I need your help.

Now last year we all worked hard and helped many kids, but I’m asking for even more help so we can make an even bigger difference and reach out to more children in these new villages with backpacks, school supplies and the gospel.

The goal this year is $50,000. Certainly the biggest goal for this fundraiser yet, but one that will enable us to share the gospel with more families, and help more children get and stay in school.

Refugees without education are at a much higher risk of alcohol and drug abuse, very young marriages, sex trafficking and recruitment by militias and terrorist organizations. Education helps children who are traumatized by war find more healthy daily routines and social interactions.

DONATE HERE. The suggested amount for each backpack is $85. Won’t you consider giving
one or more backpacks today? Thank you!
