HEART SURGERY FOR MEHRAEL IN EGYPT

Mehrael and Mariam’s Journey in Egypt’s Child Sponsorship Program
Mehrael and her sister Mariam are two of the newest children welcomed into our Child Sponsorship Program in Upper Nile, Egypt. Their family story reflects the struggles many children face—and the hope your support brings.
Mehrael has faced a major health challenge since birth: she was born with two holes in her heart. Her widowed mother, unable to afford surgery or treatment, applied for assistance from the Egyptian government. Recently, Mehrael received wonderful news—her heart surgery is scheduled soon. She’s a bit nervous, but her family is hopeful that this long-standing health burden will soon be behind them. Indigenous Ministries will help by providing funds for the medicines Mehrael will need after surgery to stay healthy.
Through this sponsorship program, children like Mehrael and Mariam not only receive educational support but also experience love, encouragement, and care from Christian mentors and a community that reflects God’s compassion.
We rejoice that Mehrael is receiving the medical care she needs. Please join us in praying for Mehrael, Mariam, and their mother. Pray especially for their spiritual journeys and for sponsors who will walk alongside them in the months and years ahead.
