Honoring the Cross and the Resurrection
This month, we join with Christians throughout the world remembering Good Friday, Passover, and Easter 2025, and the resurrection of Christ. Many are on personal or corporate fasts and focused on daily devotions centered on Christ’s sacrifice and death.
A Shared Easter Joy in the Middle East
April 20 is the same date this year for Easter for both Western and Eastern Christians. These dates rarely coincide, but this year they do. We join together celebrating the empty tomb—the resurrection of Jesus Christ—and the Easter joy in the Middle East that shines in homes and churches despite hardship.
Proclaiming Resurrection Hope Across Cultures
Christians in the Middle East greet each other with, “Al-Masīḥ qām!” (المسيح قام!) – Christ is risen! The response is “Ḥaqqan qām!” (حقا قام!) – Truly He has risen!” These ancient words echo with Easter joy in the Middle East, proclaiming the hope and victory we share in Christ.
