Ending the Year Faithfully — Will You Help Meet the Greatest Need?

Looking to 2026, I am asking the Lord of the Harvest to lead and supply as abundantly as the opportunities which are before us. This year our Year End Greatest Need Fund goal is $130,000. And the need is indeed urgent. We want to be faithful and continue to minister effectively. I am asking for your help.

Church planting through our Child Sponsorship Program: I’d like to introduce you to Pastor Fadeel from North Iraq, pictured left. He is one of our partnering pastors in Kurdistan, Iraq who has been serving the Lord faithfully since 1992 and a pastor since 2017. In Saddam Hussein’s era, he and his family were hunted and persecuted. But he has continued with a passion to serve and shepherd God’s people. Pastoring the only evangelical church in the area, he rents a small building where his congregation of refugees meets. Our Child Sponsorship Program is a growing part of his church and he ministers to each family. Part of the Year End Greatest Need Fund will go to helping Pastor Fadeel with the church ministry.

We work in very tough areas packed with a thick, dark resistance to the gospel. Radical Islamist groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda are growing in power with the goal to “establish the Muslim state throughout the world.” While most mainstream muslims do not hold to this ideology, I have seen firsthand those who do and will stop at nothing to accomplish these goals. Yet there are faithful servants who persevere in these obstacles. We need to help them.

Another partnering pastor is Ara Badalian who ministers faithfully in Baghdad. The Lord has given he and his wife, Noora a lwonderful congregation of mostly refugees and some locals from the area. Baghdad is a very challenging area of Iraq and often ground zero for riots, shootings, bombings and the like. But he keeps shepherding his flock. Our Child Sponsorship Program is a big part of his church; he visits the families and they attend church. Pastor Ara is part of our teaching staff at METC (Middle East Theological College) in N. Iraq. He recently planted a church in N. Iraq which IM will be helping in 2026. Church planting in Iraq is akin to landing on Mars and setting up a coffee shop. A good idea, perhaps, but who actually wants to do it? Fund it? Staff it? Well, this is a man who’s not put off by these issues. And we’re excited to be part of this wonderful event! Part of the Year End Greatest Need Fund will go to this effort and partnership.

Reaching and training more children: Our vision for 2026 is to reach more children so we can have more conversations about Jesus, more trips in vehicles to deliver much-needed food and heating oil, more food distributions and many more home visits to hurting, desperate families. Next month our Iraq children will begin a three year Bible study curriculum which will give them a solid biblical foundation. Earlier this year, our Egypt children began this same study and the results have been wonderful. Funds will also be used to buy a second van for the team in north Iraq.

The new ministry centers in Iraq are up and running and being used for the purposes you, our donors gave funds for – to give aid to the needy and reach families for Christ. In 2026, Lord willing, we will open our first ministry center in Cairo for our ministry to Sudanese Refugees. There is an urgent need for two vehicles for this ministry; one in Iraq, one in Egypt.

Training nationals: Our Grace Bible College (GBC) in India and Middle East Theological College (METC) in Iraq are both accredited, well staffed and engaged in training students with a biblical foundation for life and ministry. These vital training colleges are desperately needed in both regions.

Pastors conferences, women’s conferences: Since 1998, Indigenous Ministries has held conferences beginning in India, the Middle East and the Philippines. God continues to use these effective meetings to encourage, challenge and train many.

Staff training and continued support: Our hard working teams deserve every bit of encouragement and support, as they hold the line day after day, and we’re committed to caring for each one.

In each of these key areas we have barriers and challenges, yet nothing that God cannot overcome. Finances are one of the visible ways He asks us to pray, trust and engage. I want to share that as we handle the finances in the office we are committed to good stewardship of these precious resources you entrust to the Lord first and then to us.
