Thank you to our generous donors and student sponsors the Lord is using to enable us to continue this vital ministry. Most of the students will go into full-time ministry in a time where it is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous to share Christ in India. We are committed to stand with GBC as we fund over 90% of its annual budget training Christian workers to be witnesses in this great nation. Over 95% of the population of India is unreached with the gospel; the need for workers is huge as well as urgent.
A Challenge from Grace Bible College’s Principal, Dr. Tantarpale
Warm greetings from the campus of Grace Bible College in Central India. I pray that this newsletter finds you in good and uplifted spirit. I thank God for enabling us to complete the first academic session with all enthusiasm and gladness. This year 22 new students joined us from four states of India, namely Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Bihar. They represent different tribes of India: Gondi, Korku, Mawchi, Bhil, Santali, Banjara, Urali, Gavalan, and Warli.
It is wonderful to see the students growing in their knowledge—spiritually, academically, and in ministerial skills. One of our main goals is to help students develop and become men and women of God. Paul addressed his spiritual son, Timothy, as a “man of God,” he wanted him to grow and continue on as a man of God. The phrase “man of God” has a twofold meaning: Inwardly, one who has a great interest in heavenly and godly things. Outwardly, it refers to one who is favoured with divine communication and is employed as a messenger of God. We can take Paul’s encouragement to Timothy to heart to:
FLEE – Flee from the things that waste your time and energy and distract you from serving the Lord. The time is short before the coming of the Lord Jesus, and you are not to spend your life in things that do not last for eternity.
PURSUE – Seek after the things that will draw you closer and closer to Jesus Christ. Seek after them with a sense of urgency and intensity. Time is short, so invest your life in things which will strengthen your walk with the Lord.
FIGHT – Stand strong for the faith in the complete armour of God. Never forget we have an enemy of our soul who seeks to destroy your life and ministry. Many may fight for power, for position, and for material gains in this world. But with you may it never be and thus continue to be a man of God.
HOLD FAST – Hold fast on to the Lord; Hold fast to your calling; Hold fast to that which is entrusted to you; and hold fast to the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.
In your holding fast, remember it is not how you begin that really matters, but how you finish as a man or woman of God.
