10 Day Iraq Church Makeover in the Middle of a War? Why Not!!

In the middle of the Iran Conflict, our N. Iraq team proposed that we do a makeover to encourage and bless one of our partnering churches. This Iraq church renovation ministry project would need to happen in just 10 days. This is a small church working with refugees; not glamorous work by any means, and this pastor and his wife have been faithful for over 30 years.

A 10-Day Iraq Church Renovation Ministry Project

We went for it, and the schedule was tight, but it was finished in time for the Easter Service. We also blessed the church with an Easter breakfast. When it was over, there was a quiet but special moment when the simple lighted cross was hung in the front. It was a gift from one of the pastor’s sons, and IM team member, Dawod.

Projects like this Iraq church renovation ministry effort matter most because of who they’re for: a small congregation that has quietly served refugees and their community for decades without recognition or fanfare. A renovated space isn’t just cosmetic; it’s a tangible sign to a faithful pastor and his family that their years of steady, unglamorous work haven’t gone unnoticed.
