Iraq Crisis Update – Meeting with Erbil Leadership
Meeting with Mr. Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, January 2026
TOUGH TIMES, FAITHFUL GOD — The days since February 28 in Iraq and many areas in the ME have been filled with tension, explosions, blackouts as well as answers to prayers. Iran and Iranian‑backed militias have fired over 5,400 drones and missiles throughout the ME region with many hundreds targeted in Iraq.
While many were aimed at U.S. assets, others hit homes, hotels, factories, malls, and utilities causing much damage and renewed terror and anguish for millions of families. Praise God: none of our families or teams were seriously injured.
I’m thankful for the leadership and restraint during the many attacks of the Kurdish Regional Government, leaders like Mr. Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil whom I had the privilege of meeting recently.
Iraq Crisis Update – Prayer Support & Encouragement
So many of you have contacted our office, responded on social media and written your sponsored children to say “We’re praying! We’re with you!” Thank you so much! God has used your faithful prayers to comfort, encourage and strengthen. God has been faithful and we’ve seen His mighty hand each day.
May I ask for your prayers for a ministry center in Cairo? God has continued to open doors for us to effectively minister to Sudanese refugees, yet we’ve grown enough that we definitely need a meeting place. The need: $15,000.
Please pray for our June Middle East Theological College (METC) module; our teachers, students and staff as we hold it in a secure location in the region.
Lastly, I want to thank you for praying for one of my family who had a serious medical need. God answered prayers and there is healing.
Love and Blessings, Dee
