MEET THREE GRACE BIBLE COLLEGE 2021-22 STUDENTS

India – The new school year AT GBC is underway and despite continued government regulations and restrictions, the student body, faculty and staff are doing very well. COVID has kept some students from returning, some due to illness, others because families haven’t allowed them to. Below are three of our students and their testimonies; they along with a number of others are in need of a sponsor. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a sponsor at $100/month? A half sponsorship is $50/month. Thank you to our sponsors who continue to faithfully pray for and financially support their student and GBC. God is using this school to reach India for Christ through our students and the alumni. To sponsor, use the card on the back, or call our office at 719-302-3028.

Nikita Chauhan, 3rd year B.Th (a senior)
Birthday: October 28

My Testimony: My name is Nikita Chavhan. I was born and brought up in Hindu (Maratha) family. When I was 4 years old my father died. It was very difficult for my mother to take care of me and my younger sister. So my mother sent me and my sister to a Christian orphanage. There I came to know about Jesus through the orphanage leadership. After completing my studies, I was sent to GBC to study the Word of God. I knew everything about Jesus, believing in him but I had not accepted Him as my Savior. Last year when I was in the class, my teacher was speaking about salvation and I realized that believing is not enough, I have to confess that I am sinner and ask forgiveness for my sin. That very moment I confessed my sin to Jesus and accepted Him as my personal Savior and I took Baptism at GBC.

My family: I have loving and caring Mother. And I am blessed with a younger sister. My favorite Chapter in the Bible is Hebrews 11. My favorite Character in the Bible is Joseph. Things I like: Dancing, Acting, Drawing, Music and making durable from waste material.

GBC is helping me to prepare for the ministry through the three years I have been here, the care and wisdom of my professors, and disciplines I have been learning. My favorite subject in the school is preaching. I am enjoying the practical ministry in GBC like sharing testimony, leading worship, teaching in Sunday School etc.

My future plan: I am studying in B. Th. 3rd year. After completion of my study in GBC, I want to go for further study so that I can be fully ready for the future ministry that God is going to entrusted me.

Vijay Uike, 2nd year B. Th
Birthday: April 9

My Testimony: My name is Vijay Uike. I was born and brought up in a Adiwasi Gond (Tribal) family. I knew Jesus, I heard about him from my cousin many times, but still I was away from Him. At the age of 33 I attended a family camp with my family in Chikhaldara; that was the time I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and I was baptized. Now I, my wife, and my parents we all know Jesus and believe in him.

My family: I was raised by two loving parents (both are alive). I am blessed with a wife and two children.

COVID: COVID has not affected our family physically but financially it did, because I am an auto driver, due to lockdown I could not go out and that stopped our daily income. But God is so faithful to us, that he provided our need in due time.

My favorite Chapter in the Bible is Psalm 34:1. Thing I like: Reading, Driving, helping my wife in cooking.

From there I don’t know about my mother or any relatives of my parents if are they alive or dead. In the orphanage the staff took care of me like their own child. I completed my education from grade 1 to grade 10. When I was in the hostel I got to know about Jesus from my warden. When I was in 10th class, I realized that I am a sinner for whom Jesus gave his life. So I gave my life to him and I decided to study the Word of God. I was praying to God to open a door for me to study His Word. God answered my prayer and now I am in GBC doing my B. Th. 1st year.

My Future plan: Now I am doing my 1st year in GBC. After completing my B.Th I would like to complete my ITI course (diesel mechanical) and serve God through this occupation.
