Mira’s Story: A Quiet Transformation Through Prayer and the Psalms

I’d like to share about one of the girls in our Child Sponsorship Program in North Iraq. We continue to love, care, support these children and it can take time before we ever see the changes, but they do come. This is beautiful Mira Arkan. We have seen a noticeable transformation in Mira’s spiritual life and behavior, particularly in her interest in prayer and God’s Word.

Mira has developed a special interest in the Book of Psalms and has begun spending more time in prayer and reading in the Psalms. This has played an important role in helping her build her confidence and see herself as seen by God. In the past, Mira was often shy and fearful, but now she is becoming stronger, more confident, and less afraid. She is expressing herself more freely and showing greater courage in her interactions with others.

We are grateful to see how God is working in Mira’s life. Her spiritual growth is bringing changes not only to her faith, but also to her confidence, character, and daily behavior as she is trusting in God little by little.
