Our First Rope Holders’ Summit: The Mission Field Came to Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — On July 8 and 9, Indigenous Ministries held its first annual Rope Holders’ Summit for Global Missions. We were privileged to have some of our dear donors and new friends, as well as our staff and board, in attendance.

One very special guest who flew in to join us was Pastor Magdi, one of our senior staff members in Minya, Egypt. He shared updates and several stories of children whose lives God has completely changed — we’re pleased to feature two in this issue. Craig Miller shared about the Pastors’ Conferences and the latest module of METC (Middle East Theological College), along with its challenges and joys, and the missions update which we’ve shared in this newsletter. Reda Khalil updated us on the growth of the Child Sponsorship Program and ministry in the Middle East.

We also heard via live-feed from three of our Iraq team members and Principal Pramod in India, each sharing about their ministry. Two of our board members, Ken Ford and Wayne Schieldt, also shared, having recently traveled overseas to our fields in Iraq and India. Dee Cook brought the time together as we looked both at what God is doing right now — bringing fruit as lives are changed by God’s Word and His love — and at next steps for ministry.
