Imagine being handicapped from birth and then having your entire life turned upside down. You can’t see or walk, and then ISIS soldiers burst into your home, taking everything your family owns. This is the tragic reality for Rita.

Rita struggles with several disabilities, including blindness and difficulty walking unassisted. Yet Rita’s determination shines through: she wanted to be in this program, waiting patiently for someone to sponsor her, ju

st like the other children. This weekend, we are thrilled to share that Rita—who is near and dear to our hearts—was “adopted” by a new sponsor in Colorado. What a blessing!

Rita’s story is one of many. We currently have 416 refugee children waiting to be sponsored, and a number of them have special needs. Their families face extraordinary burdens, and your sponsorship helps lift those burdens in a tangible way.

Sponsorship provides these children with food, education, medical care, and most importantly, the knowledge that they are loved and not forgotten. At just $39/month—less than the cost of a meal out for most of us—you can bring hope to a child in need.
